Hair business has always been a good business. It has been very competitive and offers you a lot of choices to choose from. When it comes to personal products, people have their preferences, and we are all blessed with different hair types. So one product is not fit for all. Fortunately, there are reviews of these products that will guide you in making the right choice for you. This article is about Avalon organics shampoo review.
About The Brand
Cultured from pure nature resources, Avalon Organics makes hair care, body and bath products, and skincare that are rooted deep in respect for mother earth. This brand promises to take you through a discovery of beauty that is beyond the skin’s surface.
Geoffrey of Monmouth, a Welsh cleric, once penned that Avalon fields did not need for the farmer’s plow and that cultivation lacks only what is provided by nature. This concept inspired Avalon, and the brand was born on the belief that earth is the source of all beauty. This philosophy has given the team a deep connection and reverence for the earth, along with respect for living creatures.
At Avalon organics, they make use of pure ingredients. Research shows that the skin can absorb chemicals without going noticed. Their brand formulators tirelessly seek out organic ingredients that are plant-based from their trusted sources. They assure their customers that this approach ensures that they provide products that are not only safe for their use but also earth safe. This brand surprisingly supports policies set by the government to support quality education for girls.
Avalon Organics shampoo is made with organic ingredients that are NSF certified, vegan, EWG verified, non-GMO, no paraben, biodegradable, no harsh sulfates, no phthalates, and no synthetic color or fragrance. It contains CoQ10, biotin B-complex and vitamin C that helps to thin hair.
Why Avalon Organics Shampoo Is Better Than Competitors
Avalon stands shoulder high above other brands because of its organic makeup and rich ingredients that go into the product.
What are the benefits?
Using Avalon organics shampoo could benefit you In several ways, and we are about to show you some of it:
Accommodates both genders
For one, there is no gender discrimination with this product, both males and females alike can use it. However, note that your hair might become hoars, and this may be a difficult situation to manage. There is also no guarantee of hair loss reduction. Some reviewers complained that more hair was lost when they began using the product. But at least it is a consolation that this conditioner will help smoothen your hair and make it more manageable.
Avalon developed this new shampoo from its previous version. You can be sure that it is of better quality and packaged in a dark-colored bottle that makes it more appealing.
However, the manufacturers tell us that both the new and old formulations have the same ability and that is:
- Helping to build up thinning fine hair
- Makes your hair softer and thicker
- Nourish and cleanse hair from the follicle through your shaft
- Strengthen strands of hair and stimulates your scalp encouraging hair growth.
Avalon Organics Shampoo is high on the concentration side and foams easily, but the after use effect may not be one you like. Your hair may turn coarse and hard to comb through.
If you think you can handle this, then go for it. But if not, then you better seek another organic shampoo.
Some people also report excess hair loss after using this product. But the conditioner reportedly gives better results.
Avalon Organics Shampoo contains the controversial ingredient sodium coco-sulfate, a similar product to sodium lauryl sulfate that has been linked with cancer.
Avalon Organics Shampoo is better at giving added volume to thin hair. Also, the fact that Avalon is organic makes it a better choice. Organic hair products are known to promote hair health. Traditional hair products contain some ingredients that can irritate your scalp and may cause damage over time.
They may also contain some petrochemicals that can make your hair susceptible to breakage. However, organic hair products supply your hair with needed ingredients that will make it grow healthy, stronger, and beautiful without these petrochemicals.
Minimizes chemical penetration
Your skin absorbs what is applied to hair and scalp. Some products contain synthetic substances that may penetrate your skin, although this is still a subject under debate. Using organic products will at least eliminate the chances of this happening.
Protects the environment
Organic products are also environment-friendly. You don’t have to worry about the wastewater being drained and going down into the soil and water. With organic products, the environment is better protected, and you are doing your part in sustaining agriculture.
Although organic hair products are more expensive than regular non-organic ones, the price tag is most of the time worth it. But it is cheaper compared to other organic brands.
What is the price?
A bottle of this shampoo is below $10. It is less expensive compared to others that have similar characteristics.
A. Company Address, Phone Number, and website
B. Warranty Info or guarantee, if applicable
Avalon does not offer a warranty for their product. However, they have a platform where you can send in questions and tag issues concerning the product.

I am very pleased with this shampoo. My hair is extremely fine and straight, I also have very sensitive skin, and I have had difficulty finding a shampoo that did not irritate my scalp or make my hair oily or flat. I bought this shampoo because it was recommended for restoring hair loss and adding thickness/ volume. After washing my hair I use an apple cider vinegar rinse rather than a conditioner. So far my hair looks better and my scalp feels wonderful. Now when I put my hair up in a bun it is much fuller and holds better with fewer bobby pins. I plan on getting some for my father as he has the same hair/skin as I do and I think he will love it.
My daughter only buys Pureology shampoo and conditioner and wanted me to switch too. I wanted a budget-friendly version. Guess what, this is it, folks. Frankly, Avalon Organics has more organic ingredients and fewer ingredients that I can’t pronounce. Once I started using this shampoo 9 years ago, I haven’t been able to change to any other shampoo that was better. I used to have zits pop up on my scalp and frequently had an itchy scalp. No more! I haven’t had issues for years. I strongly recommend this product.
My husband likes this product. It is not a miracle cure for those who are losing their hair, but we both believe we saw a difference after he used it – even before finishing the bottle. His hair is naturally thinning, and this shampoo helped it to appear fuller. Unfortunately, the price on Amazon doubled since the last time we ordered it, so we will be purchasing this product elsewhere from now on.
As others have reported, this shampoo lathers very well only on the 2nd shampoo scrub. On your first wash, use a small amount for an initial light scrub and rinse. This first light hair wash will not lather but is effective so that the second small amount of shampoo will lather nicely after the first rinse. You only need a small amount of shampoo and then conditioner. My hair is short enough that I rarely use any conditioner. Hair feels very clean.
The only organic shampoo I have found that helps thicken my hair! I have very thin and thinning hair and this works like a charm.

I bought this for my husband when his hair started thinning after chemo treatments, but it did not help…..he lost all of it. He did grow it back after treatments were finished but it is still thinner than it used to be so he tried it again. It was still no help in thickening it and he didn’t like the smell. He switched to another shampoo and it is doing much better. I tried it on my hair and didn’t like the results either. It wasn’t full after washing like is with my other shampoo. It also dried it out and made my hair look limp so I went back to my old favorite.
It’s a very watery shampoo and makes my hair super dry
I am trying to go as organic as possible to lessen the toxins in my everyday life and decided to try this shampoo and the conditioner. After the first shampoo, my once healthy, soft, and shiny hair was damaged and felt like straw. I use almost a third of the bottle of conditioner, trying to repair the damage. Needless to say, it did not help. Now my once healthy hair needs some serious repair treatment. Save your money, this product is the worst
I used to use this shampoo, loved it, and still had some left in an old bottle. I just ordered a new bottle and the product is so watery! Has the company begun making it this way or did I get a doctored bottle? I had to use almost 1/3 of the bottle just to build up a decent lather!
As some others have stated, this has done nothing good for my hair. I bought this as I thought trying an organic shampoo would be best for my thinning hair I now have after chemo. My scalp is always itchy, I have dry scalp. My hair feels dry and is falling out more than usual. Going back to my expensive DHT blocking shampoos instead.
